Chile.. Where you been?!

Wow, it's been a while. A loooong while. This is going to be a long one so grab a snack (or two..)

When I first started Notoriously Neash (or Cakeface Kitchen for the OGs) I lacked a lot of things. Most importantly, I lacked vision, authenticity and discipline. I looked at other bloggers and thought, "hey, I'll just do what they do." That ended up being unsustainable and it threw me into an identity crisis BIG TIME. No shade to other bloggers or content creators, but a lot of them tend to be overly curated. As a mom and wife with three rambunctious kids, it's very hard for me to make my life appear curated, pretty or perfect. It's gets REAL and ROUGH over here.

I had to take several steps back to figure out who the hell I was and what the hell I wanted. Also - I had to decide if I really wanted to do this. This introspection literally took years. Now at the big age of 37 I have finally realized that this is what I want to do.

Okay.. but Neash, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?

Right.. sorry. Let me get back on task. So since I've last updated a lot has transpired. Ya girl got married (again) in 2024. This time it's right though. My wife is exactly what I need and vice versa. In 2021 we welcomed a baby girl named Avery into the family. Zavier very quickly followed in 2022. Maxwell, now 10, has been the absolute best big brother. I think I'm done having babies.. but only time will tell for sure.

Career wise I made a few shifts before landing in the tech space. Let me tell you, I love it here! Tech gives me the freedom, income, and growth opportunities I desire. I'll be sure to talk about that more in future posts.

That's about it for the major changes. Currently I am doing a lot of fine tuning on myself and my beliefs. This has required me to be very real with myself. Next, I'll have to be very real with others. These realizations are what caused me to want to start blogging again. I'm sure there is someone out there going through a major identity crisis like me. This will be a safe space for us all!
